Penalty Points

    Caught doing 70 in a 50 but didn't have my licence with me.

    Traffic Corps said €80 fine and penalty points would be out in the post. However he didn't require my licence to be produced at all. Can he still administer the penalty points??? I was caught before by the same traffic corps station so it's possible my licence number was already on their system.

    I just thought it was bizarre I didn't have I show or produce my licence.

    You'll be asked to display licence on payment. Payment won't be accepted without a licence. If you don't pay then you're in the hands of the courts system.

    I just received a fixed penalty notice for driving without due caution, an 80 euro fine and 2 penalty points. At the time I was stopped I also had no NCT, will the notice/summons for this come separately? At the time the guard told me I would get 2 points and 80 euro fine. If I was being done for no NCT as well would I just have got a summons and both of my offences would be dealt with in court?
