Is there a scientific explanation for ...

The fact that sandwiches made by somebody else always taste nicer than ones you make yourself. (other than you being sh!t at making sandwiches;))

Also why do diagonal / triangular sandwiches taste better than the usual standard cut in 2 horizontally ?

Do Chinese ladies really have horizontal hatchet chops?

I find my own food always tastes better than someone elses, so I can't help you out there. but the triangular / horizontal debate, I think it could be down to not getting a mouthful of crust in each 'side' bite of the sandwich cut into triangles. meh
