Do people actually buy the likes of these?

No "look bock" - I presume they mean log book, would anyone hand cash over to buy a car with no log book?

200k miles and wrecked, is it even worth the parts? Might get some use from the "timber bell" I suppose...

Wrecked, nordie plates, different wheel on front driver side, can people not even throw a bucket of water over a car before taking photos?

Stunning details in this one - "good car":

Given how hard it is to sell a car in good nick, do people seriously spend money on the likes of those above?

First ones a joke - no log book?

Second one is wrecked but if it was mechanically ok it could make for cheap motoring.

Last one looks tidy from the distance but not very detailed advert. One of them might be fine. Just because the advert is poor doesnt mean the car is, although adverts like that I usually ignore.

I bought a BMW advertised that way, 1 pic of it and nothing about condition or test or history...... Said it had a electrical fault.
Turns out had a years test,
    Full BMWSH (Had about 200k)
    Was MINT!
    Needed a heater control module.
    Full proper M-Tech.

Took the chance and it more than was worth it.

I'm sure one of them is fine, I suppose I'm making a point as much about the ads themselves as the car. How can people put up txt spk in an ad for a car, or not even bother giving the car a quick wash?

As for the 2nd one, maybe it's great mechanically, but there's a load of similar cars at similar money which also have decent bodywork, would the vendor not look at similar ones and think maybe just give it to someone or sell it to the scrappy?

Suppose you can be lucky, fair play. Why would you not play up a full BMW service history when selling... madness.

I know there's loads of good, old, high-milers out there. Just amazed at some of the ads tbh. Mind you, when I see what passes for estate agent photos of peoples' houses, maybe I should not be surprised! :)

What really peeves me off is the photos. Full stop.

Everybody and their dog has access to a phone camera or a friends camera these days, so there is NO EXCUSE for putting up one photo and usually a ****e one at that.

Done Deal allows 10 photos so use it to good effect..
front, rear and sides (4 photos)
    Dashboard inside (1 Photo)
Seats front and back (2 Photos)
    Boot (1 Photo)
leaves 2 photos of what you consider to be a good selling point of the car
whether its pictures of tires/pic of long Nct/tax, a side profile of the car against a sea view, a close up of the back badge whatever.....
There simply is no excuse nowadays.

Oh dont even get me started on what wonders a kettle full of water and a rag cloth will do.

Well, yes your point is valid for most motors, but you have to allow some leeway when dealing with the sort of money in those ads (>€500). But yes, the lack of basic details does annoy me , any NCT, tax, etc. But if I was in anyway interested I'd still ring.

No, no log book is too much hassle.
good car quek seel i don"t have look bock????????????????????????????????????????????/
I think he needs a few more question marks!:D

FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.

You don't have to take a 'smart' meter if you don't want one, opt-out is available.

Buy drinks in 3L or bigger plastic bottles or glass bottles or cartons to avoid the DRS fee.
