Hi im just in need of some advice about share watch. I have used there small trades service before but the are no longer operating it since they were taken over, i usually only trade once or twice a year on penny shares.

My question is would it be worth my while opening an account with them? Id usually only be trading with between €700-€1000 at a time.

    Thanks

I'm with them. Their platforms differ depending on which markets you're looking to trade in.

They have a commision rate of $9.99 in the NYSE regardless if you buy 1 share or 10,000 shares.

On other exchanges they charge €14.99 (Yes, euro) for all trades less that €5,000 and anything over is charged at .3%

So yes it's worth trading with them depending on what you're buying.

    Hope this explained it.

Thanks for the quick response, is there any other hidden charges like annual fees or other? and is there a minimum deposit limit?

That sounds prity decent. I am with Keytrade and they charge about €25 for US stocks.

Is there any other charges like maintenance fees or anything like that?

When you buy it costs you €14.99 (.3% if buying over €5,000) with the exception of the NYSE only platform which charges $9.99

When you Sell it costs you €14.99 (.3% if selling over €5,000) with the exception of the NYSE only platform which charges $9.99

No other hidden costs so far. When I set up an account they contacted me and I have a guy I call or e-mail with questions. They're very friendly and has answered my questions no matter how simple or difficult.

The platform for trading is so simple to use I'd actually let my ould fella do it.

    Yes.

Relating to the OP: one thing I would watch out for is that if you deposit funds in Euro and buy US/UK/Non-euro stocks you will essentially be "borrowing" Sharewatch's foreign currency and will be charged interest. Until you send an email asking them to exchange some of your euro for the other currency (which costs nothing).
I don't know if this is standard practice but it caught me out and I can't see the sense behind it.

There is no minimum as far as I can tell, as long as you can cover the transaction.
