Where do you store your car(s)?

Not trying to rob anyone here but just wondering since this is a car forum filled with car enthousiasts is there a more distinct preference for storing cars indoors than the rest of the country.

Thing is there are tons of houses with garages and big sheds but these usually have cars parked outside. If the house is a bit older its possible the new car won't fit in it but more likely is that its filled up with shoite like

The box for the new 50" TV, and associated styrofoam
Plastic christmas tree, thrown in such a way to tke up as much space as possible
Bicycles that are never used, bought in a fit of Celtic Tiger madness
Several poor quality electric appliances from Argos and Homebase
The old telly thats too good to bring to the dump
A load of tools and a quarter-finished project from when Dad briefly discovered his inner caveman before his office job devoured his life completely.

    or

A complete kid's bedroom, cause d'oul wife forgot to take her pill

all while a car much more valuable than any of that sits outside exposed to the elements, but sure we'll trade it in and get a new one! So cars are not taken care of the same way at all as when all those 60's style houses with attached garages were built. I still keep mine inside in an underground car park although by the row of cars outside many who could park it there don't bother.

No garage and if I did I wouldn't be arsed putting the car in it every night.

In this icy weather especially I always put the van in the garage over night so its not covered in ice in the mornings.

    Not any more :(

I'd like to park it under cover. Whenever I purchase a house it will have some shelter there I hope

In a parking bay on the street.

Lately every morning its covered in an inch of frost which takes an eternity to melt away!!
Also the bottle of antifreeze spray is turning out to be one of the best things I got for my car this winter! Still takes forever to scrape off the ice that forms on the inside of the windshield, the asthmatic heaters do little to melt the ice until the engine gets to good temperature which again takes a good 5-10mins or so...

If I could take my car to bed with me I could :o

I would love to have a garage to put it in at night but sadly unless I win the lotto that won't be happening :(

Usually outside, but last year in the really cold weather we put them in the feed passage of the cattle shed to keep the ice off them for morning. :)

due to the fact that modern day cars dont need the same level of care as 60's cars..?

my garage has my motorbike in it - mainly so it doesnt get pinched. If it was rotting away just being outside I'd be telling the world about it and wouldnt buy another of that make again
