Wish thread title could be amended?

Maybe I'm missing something, but looking at the website it doesn't say anything about a trial.
It's free, but for a limited time. As in, it's then no longer free, unless you've already downloaded it.

Trial versions of software is nothing new, almost every company offers these but I received my activation serial numbers almost immediately last night. If it was just trial software why would it be limited to 29th of February? These are not limited trial versions.

A small price to pay for a ton of great software.
I'll just use filters in gmail to auto-archive it.

    Yes. That's correct.

So? You don't have to read the emails..

And if you can't handle the subscription, disposable email address would suffice.

    Thanks OP. :)

Didnt seem to look for anything, mentioned newsletter which probably is just emailed but no detail.
Let me untick email notification of free offers.
You have to register with email address, thats all.
Add downloads to basket, go to checkout. Full price shown but full discount displayed. Didnt look for payment for anything or credit card. Gave immediate access to download and serials.

Appears kosher:). Looks like genuine free giveaway. I guess they make most of their income from commercial use rather than the occasional amateur.
    Havent found any specific T&Cs

About 2Gb for all the various bits including 32/64 bit versions and I assume templates.
Havent installed yet so dont know if has to be activated before cutoff date like GOTD.

They make their money on the additional content such as models and textures etc.

Never used this software before or anything like it, is it easy to use? I myself just like dicking around on odd projects, would I be able to manage using this?

I haven't used Bryce or Poser (the original software package) in years but yeah, should be pretty easy to jump in and start creating scenes. It's not a case of having to build your models from scratch as there is a huge online community offering both paid and free models.
