    For Firefox:
    • Adblock Plus - Block Website Ads
    • Webmail notifier - Check webmail accounts/Gmail, Hotmail etc.
    • Image Zoom - Rightclick any image and scroll to zoom it
    • Tab mix Plus - Adds many features to Tabs
    • Flagfox - Shows the flag of country site is hosted in
    • Omnibar - Combines the search bar and address bar, a la Chrome
    • Speed Dial - Tiled pics of favourite web pages, loads on every new tab (can be set to)
    • Snap Links Plus (Right click and drag over multiple links to open them)
    --Developer Stuff--
    • IETab2 - Switches rendering mode from Mozilla to Internet Explorer. Handy for those "IE only" sites
    • Firebug - Handy for diagnosing web site problems, ie css, html, javascript etc.
    • Web Developer (Toolbar) - Handy features for use during website development (highlight certain tags, disable certain functionality etc.)

Just some of the addons I use, search for them in the Addons web page. Don't use Chrome although many of these addons are available on Chrome aswell

I'll add Download StatusBar for Firefox because it's just so much neater than the default pop-up window.
