    Hi all.

Im selling a set of wheels on adverts and there is a lad interested who wants to put them on an 80's peugeot he is restoring. The front wheel should be no problem as he has a 700c on the front as it is, but im wondering what the back wheel situation would be? The wheels have a shimano hub on them which I had a 10spd cassette. Would this fit on the bike he has?

Should be doable - more discussion here: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2056535833

The rear brakes would have to reach an extra 4mm to convert to 700c wheels. 27 inch wheels are slightly bigger then 700c (hence the extra brake reach is needed)

Secondly there might be a problem spreading a frame. The original dropouts could be either 120 or 126mm width. I've spread a frame from 126mm to 130mm no problems, but I'd be kinda hesitant spreading a frame from 120 to 130mm. I'm not too sure how it will take it. Either way the dropouts would have to be realigned. If you can spread from 126mm to 130mm you will be able to take a modern wheel and hub.
