OOB Rules question

In a case where OOB posts are placed along the edge of a hole, but don't extend all of the way to the green, then once your ball is beyond the last post, it is not out of bounds.

If the last post has been removed from the ground and is lying flat beside a clear post-shaped hole, and the ball would have been OOB if the post was in place, then what is the ruling?

Whats the definition of "beyond" here? What line do you take, pin to the post?

I think in this case the OOB definition is where the post is on the ground...the stakes define the line (or at least a line between each post) not the hole it he ground.
This is why they should have white lines between each post...
