Im looking at buying a 520d Msport and will be viewing it either this Friday or Monday. Is there any mechanics on here that would be willing to carry out a full inspection for me or can someone recommend a mechanic to me. Car seems legit but I am buying it privately and will not purchase without having it checked by a professional.
Preferably someone that knows what to look out for with this model. Been reading about potential problems with a flap of some form or another...

    Cheers,
    Dave.

I find Scully Auto Care good to deal with, and from what I can tell, they work with BMWs quite a lot.

Dave Breach in Walkinstown is very good with BMWs and very reasonable.

Msport is a bmw factory option whereas RS4 tdi is produced by the well respected factory approved tuners located in the northern part of Ireland. They produce the much sought after 'felt spec' cars which have stunning performance by all accounts.
So no, the RS4 tdi is a far superior beast:rolleyes:

Yes, I know, factory option vs Felt option, I know.
Wonder if that M Sport comes with launch control, traction control, ESC and ABS to keep all that raw power in check.
Those rear tires won't last very long when doing unintentional burnouts at every light.
    (sorry, I'll get me coat)

OP, your location says you are based in Limerick. Is the car you are looking at based in Limerick too? If so I can recommend a BMW indy who may be able to accomodate you. PM me for more details.
