Dont think its been mentioned before, just thought id share an app I just found called Road Trip Lite.
Allows you to enter how much fuel you have filled and at what price per litre and calculates MPG from your odometer readings.
Also allows you to use different units of measurement and currencies etc.

Just thought some of ye may find it handy as i did and sorry if its already been posted. BTW im obviously not associated with the makers

Did anybody else find the HUD app came up in double? As in when its projected onto the windscreen it appears like "double vision" or am i just doing something extremelly stupid?

I just always fill in my tank to the top.

Then I divide number of litres I filled-up multiplied by 100, by amount of km I did since last filling (last odometer reset).
That gives me a average fuel consumption since last filling in litres/100km.

    No need for any apps.

    Example:

I filled-up to the top, which was 40 litres.
    I did 500km since last top-up.

    (40 * 100) / 500 = 8

So my consumption was 8 litres/100km.

TBH i find the app a lot easier to use, methods for calculating MPG have been posted many times here before.
I dont have an issue with maths but some people really di avoid it. Also to fill a tank can be upwards of 60-70 euro these days a lot of people dont fill up anymore as they cant afford it.

I would have to agree though a lot of these Apps that are around help us become lazier but hey if it makes life simpler Im all for it

The image is reflecting off both the inside and outside of the glass. Some glass may be thicker and give a worse effect. Re: the fuel app, i use " fuel log" too and it gives a good clear graph, although road trip is a bit better overall.

    There ya go!
That and that little readout that gives me mpg in my car.
The only app anyone will ever need for this is a calculator.
    Or the simple version:
Divide the amount filled by kilometers driven and multiply by 100.
    Which is the same really...

Thats what i pressumed, seems theres no way of fixing it so. Personally cant use it as I find the two reflections far too annoying

Two issues i see with that though, Wouldn't you have to fill the tank up at the exact point that you filled it the last time? as in just as the red light came on? hard to be just by a station at that point. (I realise it probably wouldn't make much of a difference and im probably being pedantic.
The second problem is easier, I always feel bad about sticking €100 of petrol in my tank (even though i do over time anyway, just sickens me to see what i could have done with 100 sheets instead)

Is this for a PC or an Eyephone?

I use a simple Excel file for my car, where I keep my fuel fillings and service history. The beauty of excel is that I can design the file / cells to do exactly what I want them to do, i.e. calculate fuel consumption in l/100km or fuel economy in mpg, calculate total average, show a graph, etc.

Why would it matter, when you filled it up, the amount "missing" from your tank is the amount of fuel used since the odometer was reset ?

Exactly, i.e. the only accurate figures you get when you calculate your average mpg based on at least 3-4 tank fillings (see my post).

Ah yes, I was reading it arse about face. Still brings me back to bein too misurable (or broke) to put a tonne in my tank though.

    Are you joking :p ?

It only takes minutes to create the formulas and for the next line is just copy and paste job ;).

    It wouldn't be for me.
If I actually knew just how much money I spend on fuel, I'd age 10 years every time I looked at it...:(
    Ignorance is bliss.

Sure, you can remove the last four tabs that calculate costs and just leave the mpg figures and look at it without getting gray hair ;).
It is very flexible tool, you decide what you want it to do :).
