Pbf v manny can't happen while this fella is in control of manny or until manny tells him straight out this will be his last fight

I think the difference is that Chavez is delighted to be getting the arum treatment. The guys a fraud, i'm just surprised he's so popular in Mexico

I'm not surprised he's so popular. With that surname, he could be a Tijuana taxi driver and still he'd be popular.:p

what a sham of a fight.

i like Cotto and all, but anybody who's anybody knows the fight Mexico craves is Chavez jr vs Canelo Alvarez. That fight would go gangbusters in the americas.

i cant stand Arums' business model myself. Sure i know and appreciate the fighters have to make money, but he wraps them up in cotton wool. Its not good for the sport on a whole

Arum is clearly a virus on the sport, However unlike PBF - Pac, these two fighters have time on their hands with regard to making the match. I may be in a minority here but I don't think Chavez is 'a fraud'. Sure his opposition has been modest enough, but I think most boxing people know this, and it's not like the wool is over the public eye. I've become more and more impressed with Chavez, and Rubio will prove a good fight. Chavez has a couple of big big fights in him, it's far too early to write him off, improving all the time.

He's a champion now, can't and shouldn't be that selective with his opponents. Ignoring the Canelo fight possiblity, he's blatantly ducking Martinez.
