    Hey guys

    I have an interview recorded on my Sky+ box is there any way of getting it transferred to a data pen. Thanks for all the help.

    There's a USB port on the front of some of the newer sky + boxes but I don't think it does anything but I might be wrong on that.

    I think you'll have to get the recording to a pc before you can get it to a data key.

    I think the whole point is that it's difficult to get recordings off a Sky box to try prevent piracy.

    There is a composite connector for video and an audio connector at the back. There is also scart that could be hooked into a PC video/audio input. I don't know if they would work. In the past they have added a signal to confuse VCRs to prevent them recording via Scart or composite.

    It would probably be easier to set up a video camera on a tripod, high tech/low tech.

    Even RTEs player is encrypted to stop people "downloading" the content.

    You could hook up the sky box to a dvd recorder. Then use software to convert the dvd file to an avi or something.

    I use a DVD recorder and it works very well.
    If it's only one item you want converted there's not really much point buying a DVD recorder.

    Sky box->scart lead->DVD recorder->scart lead->TV
    Job Done :DHappy days
