Aer Lingus booking expertise needed

    So today I tried to make my first online booking through Aer Lingus.

    I followed all the steps until the very last, and inserted all of the information correctly as it says here:

    What worries me is that at the end of the 'Purchase' page, after checking the ''allow us to debit your card'' and clicking on Purchase, I didn't get any new page like ''congratulations, you have booked your flight'' or ''you will be receiving an email shortly''. Instead, it returned back to the ''plan'' page (step 1).

    It's been more than 10 minutes and haven't received any email from them in my inbox nor my spam box.

    Nor have I received the SMS confirmation that costs e1. Nor has my laser card been debited (does it take a while to debit a laser card, I thought it was instantaneous?)

    If you haven't yet got a flight / booking confirmation email & number like 12Q24F then the booking hasn't been made.

    As it was your first time booking & you were being careful you may have inputed your info too slowly and the webpage timed out

    Do Aer Lingus accept payment by Laser?

    Called up this morning and seems likely so - today I did it all over again and I got to the last step with a ref. #

    Also my account has been debited.

    Seems like my booking has been made, but still no confirmation email/sms.

    It can take a while for the e-mail to come through, it's rarely instant.

    lots of people make a mistake in inputting there email address . I presume you had the sense to write down the reference number you were given .
    go back into the site and go to manage my booking and using your reference number you can check your flight. Love the way you can work your way around boards.ie but not the EI website STRANGE
