What is the saddest song you ever heard? For me it's a toss up between two songs written by Dolly Parton believe it or not (Such an underrated songwriter in my opinion). The first one is 'Down from Dover' which was banned from the airwaves upon its release:

I think the artist's name is Skeeter Ulrich but I'm not entirely certain but it's a song from "Girl Interupted" called Don't They Know It's The End of The World. Very depressing.
