    Hi,
We have a year old oven and lately the bottom element in the oven is burning the food?
Top seems to be fine but , for example if we are doing a pizza the top is fine and the bottom is cremated.
It doesnt seem to help if we turn down the temp etc.
It was a cheap cooker (new world) that was bought when we moved in by the landlord?
Anyone know what the cause is and if it would be expensive to fix?
    Thanks
    Sham.

Sounds like an issue with the bottom thermostat. As its outside guarantee it would probably cost a bit to replace. May be worth investigating a new oven as some places can charge about 70 euro for call out, then price of parts and also another call out. When that all adds up might be a lot and could break again

    Cheers for the reply.
    Bloody annoying, everything burning underneath.
Money a bit tight at the moment but will have to do something.
    Thanks again.
    Sham..

Might be worth trying to fabricate a heatshield of some sort out of an old baking tray or similar and placing it on the bottom shelf to deflect the heat a bit.
