just a quick question, i have a blowback M9 which takes green gas mags but im sick of repairing leaky mags and handing out money for new ones, i was thinking of getting Co2 mags for it as theyre less problematic,

does anyone know if Co2 mags will work in place of green gas mags? or would i need to upgrade any gas seals or valves in the pistol to cope with the more powerful gas??

Heard people talk about getting a re-enforced nozzle on Pistols
that use C02 gas. Some brands use a different colour nozzle as an indication that its reenforced (such as a blue colour instead of black/grey)

I've no idea if in fact there is any data to back up that you "need" a
nozzle thats somehow stronger than the stock one or not.
It could be a requirement or it could be like a lot of things and be an
urban myth airsoft with lots of smoke and mirrors where people scaremonger saying
stuff like it could or might break if using a stronger gas than propane or 134a.

Have a WE pistol that I bought from a store where they simply swapped the mag from a green gas mag to a Co2 mag when selling
it to me. I did not know if I should be worried about that or not when I just had a bog standard nozzle in the pistol and nothing with the super dooper
strength that some alternative plastic may have added. but its not given me any problems so far firing and nothing has broken.

Also recently bought a pistol thats C02 stock and the nozzle on that looks like a standard black plastic nozzle.

Am interested to hear from anyone who as had a standard stock Nozzle break if using a C02 mag instead of a 134a/green gas mag.
It may help confirm or dispel a myth or truth if you need a stronger nozzle or not.

like said CO2 is definitely a higher pressure gas so it would only make sense that stronger parts would be needed, but after what bullets said about him using a CO2mag in a pistol that's advertised as a gas without any problems it could just be like he also said a myth, although i personally wouldn't risk it, it couldn't be a money making thing as gas and CO2 pistols cost the same price give or take a couple of euro, i think the main problem you'll have is the slide breaking/coming off and not the nozzle breaking.

One of the Lads here in Limerick mentioned to me the other day that
the C02 pistol I bought KWC's brand re-enforced nozzles were black.
(I was expecting a different colour)

The WE pistol is just the standard nozzle and has not broke yet!
but there has only been a few mags through the gun.

I suppose you could just buy the stronger nozzle if you could source one
to be on the safe side and have the option of using either mag. (If both types of mags are available)

I have been told (don't take my word for it!) that KJW use blue or red nozzles to show they're reinforced. This could be complete bull.

What make is the gun? KJW M9s have a blue re-enforced nozzle (well mine does anyway)

KWC and WE do NOT use different colours to signify a reinforced loading nozzles. In my experience this is because both KWC and WE use a different kind of valve in the magazine - the gasflow seems to be very restricted compared with KJW.

KJW use Blue or Red nozzles to signify reinforced and thus Co2 capable

A question though- Wouldn't putting a CO2 mag in a GBB that's already shooting close to the limit on green gas push it over?

its a KJW pistol, the nozzle is black so that means according to Inari its not a reinforced one, ive had a look just on ehobbyasia so far, and can only find one nozzle for an m9 and not a reinforced one, there are plenty for 1911s and glocks. its surprising considering its quite a common pistol, just need to keep looking anyway, if anyone knows where i could pick up a reinforced nozzle can you post up a link or something please??

cheers guys thanks for all the help!!

Ask around a few of the retailers. They could have a nozzle lying arouynd in the workshop.
