    Hello, what would be the nearest airport to this city? Which airline would be the best to take me there?

    It is a region and not a "City" as far as I know, think Leinster, Connaught etc.

    Thanks for that. Now that I think about the place I'm thinking of is Ourense.

    Has anyone been there before? What is English like in that part?

    I think your best bet would be Ryanair into Santiago and taking the bus down (www.alsa.es)

    In regards with english I am not sure as I speak spanish but i am sure you would have no problems if you had a phrasebook.

    I would learn some basic spanish or take a phrase book. People often do speak english, but will be much more appreciative of your efforts in Spanish.
