I do about 300-310 miles a week and spent 40 quid on diesel a week at 148.9 a litre.

I have a 00 caddy sdi and its a miser on juice 50-53 mpg.

What milege does every one do here a week and what price do you spend on fuel and what do you do to save on fuel?

Probably about 50 miles! If not less than that a week. Cycle most places these days.

Might be at the low end - on average, it's 68.75 miles/week based on my mileage since June 2011. In reality I probably normally drive maybe 10 - 20 miles/week. Haven't put money into the car since the start of December either. Cycle everywhere.

Up to Christmas I was doing around 500 km a week, using a 60l tank of petrol a week. Since then, it's dropped a little to about 350-400km a week.

700ish, service and calibration engineer, commute to the office is 34 miles, who knows where I'll be sent from there.

Costs about €80 in petrol to the office for the week.

Round trip to work is 36 miles.
Sold my my diesel car to downgrade for my wedding and went the bangernomics route a year or two ago.

Driving a 2.0l E200 merc at the moment and doing about 30 to 33 miles per gallon.
Started car pooling recently because the weekly bill was over €80, I had to take further action.
    So now €40, on average.
    Thats just for work.

This week I've done about 4000 km, with petrol prices of between 1.20 and 1.70.
Fuel consumption on my Mazda 6 2.0 varies between 6l/100km during steady driving at about 70km/h to about 16l/100km consumption at 200km/h motorway driving.

Normally however my car does about 300-400km per week, with fuel consumption of 8.5l/100km on Mayo country roads. (that makes about 33.5MPG).

Same here. I used to drive around the country like there is no tomorrow. Now I cycle 5 days a week if I can, 44km per day. Instead of petrol there are a lot of other expenses though.

Yeah but you have to factor the cost of an injection pump into that price though:P:eek:

Its been covered a hundred times, ask anyone involved in legitimate fuel supplying if they could sell diesel that cheap.

Have the new company car since november but have been off for christmas for 1 week and abroad for 2 weeks with work. So subtracting 3 weeks from the 11weeks Ivedone 16000 km. That would make it 2000 km per week.
    Calibration engineer.

Do about 1200kms commute per week, costs about €110-115 on diesel a week. Drive a 2003 Volvo S60 D5 with 215k miles on the clock (had 70k when I bought it).

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,451 ✭✭✭CharlieCroker

Changes weekly but works out about 850km a week average. 900-1000km to a tank which was €92 at the last fill from empty.

700km incl weekend runs, get about 950km out of a tank on a long week.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 384 ✭✭Dermo123

Doing about 600miles per week in an 1994 Audi 80TDI. Get 700miles between fill ups and costs €95 to fill up. Jaysus that is €350 per month on fuel..... no wonder I am broke. Thats a small mortgage every month on diesel.

Usually a full tank does a week so About 230 miles, about 80 euro a week.
