After humming and hawing for ages, I finally put my mind to itthis week to change my current car (Alfa147 petrol) for a diesel saloon of some sort. My budget was €4-6k depending on the car.

First looked at some BMW 330d's, then copped on and looked at some 320d's, some nice ones but most were abused.

Then was on the way somewhere today and on the off chance I stopped into an Audi dealer who had in stock an 04 Audi A4 1.9 tdi 130 variant, SE model. 177k kms, Full service history, NCT, but most of all there wasn't a scratch or anything on it! Drove superbly so rang later that day to take it. Think I got a good deal too, €5,750 cash. Picking it up on Tuesday I think (they will service it first), will post up some pics here.

I have a mind to possibly retro fit cruise control, does anyone know if this is possible/difficult?

Now I've the matter of selling my current car, although I think my brother will come to the rescue and buy it from me :)

There's a guy in galway doing cruise, but I'd say George Dalton might be able to help. SE should have cruise though. Sounds alright, low mileage really. So long as dmf is alright they are quite solid.

Sounds good, Love A4 avants. Best looking estate out there IMO.

I might be mistaken with the model but it's not the sport and it doesn't have cruise control. Could you PM me details of who can do the cruise control in Galway or anyone else who does it?

I'll get the pics up on Tuesday when I actually get my hands on it!

    It's a 6 speed manual but has a 3 month warranty anyway.
