My daughter just got ZTE Racer II from Meteor. Ive never used a smartphone before! Ive downloaded loads of apps for her Ipod Touch no problem. But I just loaded two apps to her phone and when I try to load another one it tells me Ive no storage space even though phone has 2g memory card. I cant see anywhere to change storage to card. Also it takes forever to download apps through the phone. Is there a way to sync phone through PC like with the Ipod? Thanks!

I wouldn't even bother with trying to get apps on it. The memory card is only for storing images and and music really. You might be able to move.some apps to the SD card by going to the app manager. But it won't really solved it. Its a 50 euro "smartphone" expect what you paid for

Ok thanks for that! I never knew you couldnt store apps on the SD card and can see no mention of that on the Meteor review - just that thousands of apps available to download!! Ah well you learn something every day! My son now wants to upgrade his phone to a smartphone. Whats the cheapest available, with Meteor if possible, that would have enough phone storage for music, photos and maybe 8 - 10 games apps?
    Thanks.

Ok it really depends on your budget. A lot of Android phones older ones and now low and mid end suffer from low internal storage.

ie. Galaxy Mini that I got for my gf's little brother could only store around
4-6 apps and a couple of small games on the internal memory of his phone. There are work arounds for the mini how to fix this with A2SD.

But i suggest your try http://www.gsmarena.com and look at the phone specs.

ie. Galaxy Mini has 160 mb of internal storage under memory options.
    Galaxy Y has 180
Sony Ericsson Live is meant to have 320MB of storage so that may be plenty for him.

Its really hard to tell if its gonna do for him as it really depends on what games are they gonna be or what sort of apps.

Obviously the more internal storage is there the more hes going to be able to fit. All you have to decide then is your budget :)

    Hope this helps

Just hook it up to your computer with the usb cable, it'll appear as memory storage, move the .apk files to it than activate them via filer on your phone, once you get this working there's a free app called expert filer that's greater for adding and removing apps
