Is the calculator working ok for anyone? I'm putting in details and works a dream until you try to get figure, it goes to calculation page but had no total!

Surely it's nothing to do with the vrt story on friday about cars less than 6mths old or less than 6k miles?
Even though the car i'm checking is a year old

Doing some vrt calculations for cars,I was under the impression that if a car registered in January 2011 with 20k miles was £15,000,then the same car registered in March would be a little more expensive(because it was 2 months newer)However the price comes down! Is this because a car two months younger shouldn't have such high milage and as such is cheaper?

I'm trying to determine the cost of importing a diesel car but when I put in the model (Giuletta) it repopulates several fields with a petrol saloon and there is no option to change this to diesel. I see the thing about getting your own valuations but it looks more like a bug - is there any way to contact them to ask? The website sends you to a link saying to contact a vehicle registration office, but then the link doesn't have a section for this...

Was talking to one of the lads in the vrt office in Letterkenny the other day,he said that there's no point in trying to contact the Nct about issues with vrt because even the Revenue themselves can't get hold of them.
Crazy really that you could do a Vrt calc and be "happy" with the quote and then import the car and have someone say " ah sorry the system wasn't working well that day".
At least when the Revenue were looking after the system, you could ring an officer up and go through the calc with him.
