Just bought a second hand WE M9 and as I'm new to Airsoft I have a question for all you experts out there. When I am firing it the pistol stays cocked with the hammer staying out. Is this supposed to happen? Also how do I fire it without BBs in the mag?

When you pull the trigger the hammer should go forward. Then the slide moves back, pushing the hammer back again. The hammer should stay back then ready for the next shot. There is the slide release on the left hand side of the pistol. If you hold it down while shooting, it should work like it has BBs in it.
