    Hi folks,

Happy to say I am once again teaching the beautiful Muay Thai on Pearse street. This will be daytimes only as there is already someone doing evening classes. Monday from 4 and tuesday thursday and friday from 2. Full details on the website.

Oh yeah, and its 50 quid a month, come as often as you like.

    Is this like judo?

    Thanks Shinobi :D

And no, this is nothing like Judo. We are a striking art with a bit if stand up wrestling, also known as clinch. We do share some throws and trips in common though.

Are the daytime classes suitable to complete beginners? If so, what would be needed?

Also, I'm training for a half marathon, which is my primary focus right now. For that reason, I have given up weekly astro football to avoid injury. It may sound ridiculous considering its striking, but would beginners muay thai be likely to cause leg (specifically knee and ankle) injuries?

I should mention it doesnt start until monday the 6th. It is suitable for beginners, we will have all levels there. I cant see any injurys happening unless you were sparring, which as a beginner wont be for a while anyway.

He just asked a question, at least make your answer make sense.
Anyway how did the first class go, was there a good turn out?

Yep we started on Monday. A couple of experienced lads down already. A group of beginners starting next week and 2 or 3 old school mates have assured me there coming down soon too.

    Heya,

Just checking for a mate of mine, do I need to lend him some gloves and shinguards or do you have spares for beginners?

Best of luck with it Dave.
