The AH Weekend Hermit Thread

Mods: I didn't see a hermit forum around so why not.

I've noticed a fair few threads over the past few weekends which indicate there's a lot of people out there who stay in nights at the weekend for reasons financial or otherwise. I don't mind admitting I don't really go out most weekends apart from the odd night in the pub or a visit home for some decent food.

I look forward to and enjoy weekends after a hard working week: offers of nights out in town are shunned, house parties are a definite no and time out of the apartment is carefully considered. Some may say I'm completely or borderline anti-social but then again I could be on the other end of such a spectrum (i.e. going out and looking for trouble).

So, it's Friday, I'm sitting down for a few generic brand beverages and a browse through boards, looking forward to a great deal of sleep later on. Who else is staying put any night this weekend? I don't care why you're staying in and anyone who does, hurrah for you.

I spent the last 3 weekends at home because of exams/revision. Tonight's my first night out since just after new year.

    Fuck you all!

That's why you're on boards? Brummy, I expect a drunken thread off you tonight. If not, I'll be extremely disappointed.

    Edit: And **** you too!

Im with my friends 9-6 every tuesday to friday and grab lunch with them etc. I work on Mondays so eh, but Im up at 6:30am at the latest every day and in bed at 10:30pm.

When the weekend comes the only thing I want to do is relax, sleep in, play games and chat online. I usually decline offers of going out (not that I get much in the first place :pac:), unless its something fun during the day time.

Im fairly happy with the way I spend my time but I would rather do more fun stuff during the weekend that doesnt involve drink.

So these two girls invited me back to their house, they told me that they'd never have a threesome before and both of them kissed me and then each other. I didn't go back with them because they lived too far away.

Why won't anyone have sex with me? :(
    .

    Don't feel bad

I just moved into a place by myself a couple of months ago.got cabin fever the last few weekends&had to go out just to have some chats.but this weekend is a staying in weekend. Cooking a nice dinner at the moment, glass of wine and piss about on boards is the plan for the night.

I'm staying in this weekend unless something exciting comes up. Usually I'll just have friends over or go over to theirs. Lately I find I'm not into going out as much. Weekends are too short as it is and I'm usually knackered by Friday. Going out on the the lash on a Friday seems to make the weekend go by in a blink, not to mention I'll spend a fortune.

I'd say I'd be more inclined to go out on the weekend if I worked less or had less to do at home, but for now I'm with you! I look forward to lots of sleep, a couple of beers, a good book, a movie with the missus, some FIFA, educating myself with some programming books, all that boring shíte. ;) Also, living with my girlfriend means I'm not sex-starved enough to be compelled to go out and meet people. :D

I probably should stay in this weekend, but I probably won't. I'm my own worst enemy.

Married, barely make 50k between us these days with taxes and cuts. Donating money to a publican is not a priority. I drink a better quality of beer/wine from the off licence for half the price, I watch films online for free before they are in xtravision. If I want to smoke a fag when im pissed I dont have to go outside.

If you're going to go out, I find I prefer Friday nights. Nothing more depressing than going on the lash Saturday night and when you finally get over a hangover on Sunday it's only a few hours till you get the back to work blues :(

For two weeks I have been looking forward to tonight..... home made curry cooking away, glass of wine on the go, emersion on for a long bubble bath, catching up on some of the old films stored on my sky box and then off to boo boo's with a loooong lie in planned. :D

(I worked 2 x 70 hour weeks and will really enjoy my selfish, anti social night!!)

You're dead right, that's the worst feeling in the world! Only problem I have is beer puts me to sleep on a Friday because I'm already knackered.

    Jägerbombs help with that though.

Ahhh nothing like jagerbombs to give you a bad case of "the fear" the next day though!

Because going out every weekend becomes both boring and expensive and it can be nice to just chillax at home with a few beers every once in a while, instead of having to hail down a taxi at 2:30 in the morning in the pissing rain and waking up the next day around 1 with a hangover and wondering where all your money went

TL;DR The effort and cost, **** that
