Yupp they really are, the same disgusting people who think John Terry is 'Captain fantastic'. Players like him should not be held up as idols or club heroes.

It's well beyond disgusting, obviously this will trigger some manner of police investigation

As has been said; disgusting. Scumbags.
LONDON, Jan 27 (Reuters) - Queens Park Rangers defender Anton Ferdinand has been sent a bullet in the post, British media reported on Friday, less than 24 hours before an FA Cup tie in which he could come face to face with Chelsea's John Terry, the player charged with racially abusing him.
England and Chelsea captain Terry, who denies any wrongdoing, is due to appear in court next week over the alleged racist abuse which has added extra tension to the build-up to Saturday's fourth-round match at Loftus Road.
"We are investigating an allegation of malicious communication received today at QPR football club. Officers from Hammersmith and Fulham are investigating," a Scotland Yard spokesman said.
Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas earlier on Thursday urged Ferdinand to shake hands with Terry on Saturday.
Villas-Boas said he was not considering leaving out Terry, who was charged in December following an incident in Chelsea's 1-0 Premier League defeat by their west London rivals in October. (Writing by Justin Palmer, editing by Ed Osmond)

Well footballing wise he's a Chelsea legend and great captain IMO, outside of football he seems a bit of a dick. sending bullets is a disgrace why would anybody stoop to that level?

Christ will you get over it ffs. It's getting tiresome at this stage.

What exactly has the FA done to liverpool FC? And don't claim the (correct) Suarez verdict was done by the FA.

I admire him as a sportsman, despite all that goes on he continues to play well.

He isn't a stand up guy but his attitude on the field is something that people could learn from. A case of telling people to be like him on the pitch but not off it. The racist remark thing is another thing altogether but I'm not so sure I believe Ferdinand who has been known to tell porkies.

This is a very naive post , and very silly .

Why would a Chelsea fan wait the day before the game to do something like this ???

All it will serve to do is to G up the R's fans even more making it even harder for Chelsea to play there game.

The timing of it all smacks or a wind up to me , there will be even more heightened tensions because of this as if they were not high enough.

Why do you think there was a big hooliganism problem in the country for years? Because some 'fans' really believed it was a matter of life or death, to the point of being abusive or violent to opposition players/fans.

People who do this do not exactly possess the intelligence to think of the consequences - on and off the pitch - like you outlined.

How do you explain Neil Lennon's life being in serious danger for the last year, or so?

Braindead scumbags are not going to entirely disappear, y'know. You really don't 'get' the seriousness of this, I think.

    That really wasn't the reason.

The reason for the hooliganism had very little to do with football and a lot to do with just having a good ol' tear up.

Both Lennon and Ferdinand have now had threats to their lives. The fact that Chelsea/QPR does not have sectarian lines is irrelevant.

You asked and I quote :
How do you explain Neil Lennon's life being in serious danger for the last year, or so?

So how is the factual answer to your question irrelevant ?

The threat against Ferdinand is either Racially motivated , Somebody trying to up the tensions for tomorrows game, or a stupid Blues fan ,

Now as I have given my reason already I think its one of the 1st two and not the latter, I maybe wrong but I dont think so

To be fair, it could be any combination of the three.

Could be all three, of course.

Only problem is you have chosen to not re-address the comment that things have come on in 20 years, but if players/managers are getting threats from anonymous sources, then it is not much.

Hate to think by ruling out the 3rd, that those blue specs extended to not thinking that there are a few braindead morons who support Chelsea, just like any other club.

Things have come on a hell of a lot since the days of rioting and general tear ups at most games., I should of said 30 years really as the 80s was when it was really in full flow.

The Lennon issue had little to do with football , it was about religion first and foremost.

The Ferdinand case is an exception to the rule , when was the last case bar Lennon that you have heard of this in the UK ?

I still maintain I will be very surprised if when the clown who sent the bullet get caught thats he has any ties or bias for The Blues

On your EDIT , granted there is muppets who support every club , but doing this serves no interest in the club what so ever , I go as far to say it makes things harder for Chelsea.

The Fans will be even more so behind QPR plus the players will be up for it big time to do it for Ferdinand ( If that could be possible)

Sorry, but if (forbid) someone sent bullets to say Suarez' home, I think most Man United fans would be honest enough to admit that the wacko suspect could support their team.

Its all about Muddying the waters , I could send one to Evra's house and immediately suspicion would be on a Liverpool FC Fan , this is my point .

The waters have now been muddied, the finger of doubt is now firmly placed over the heads of Chelsea FC and its fans which does no good for the club or players

I mentioned in my previous edit that all clubs have clowns amongst there fanbase and what my thoughts on it are.
