anyone have any experience buying a phone or tablet off these guys?

am asking on behalf of my brother, he wants to buy an android tablet... the price is good, but still alot of money so wanted to see if any members have had experience buying with them... Cheers

Yeah i know but most of their sales are accessories and the like, just erring on the side of caution...

I bought a set of Bose headphones off of them recently, and when they arrived they were damaged. They have terrible customer service, it takes almost a week for them to reply and they keep trying to pass the blame on to Royal Mail, even though Royal Mail had nothing to do with the headphones being damaged.

i baught a fone case from these guys , never recieved it , recieved a letter saying they didnt have my full address ffs , they sent me a letter saying that , then they said they would refund me wich never happend got refund thanks to paypal , id just say avoid

Tried to buy a phone from them as a christmas present for my brother years ago. Christmas day came and went, phone did not arrive and was well pissed off. But decided to give them the benefit of the doubt, oh what a mistake... 4 weeks later no sign of said phone. Immediately started a paypal resolution and got the money back quickly. Terrible outfit, wouldn't bother with them.

Typing this from a HTC Desire S I got from them last year, no real issues brand new and was cheapest by far at the time, and arrived by courier on time. So from my experience no issues.

How long did it take for it to arrive from the time of purchase, if you don't mind me asking?

I read but i think it's overstated people are going on about nearly all their expensive products having neutral or negative feedback i checked there, there was plenty of phones etc. purchased off them recently 90%+ were positive feedback i'd say, maybe it was that they were a bit dodgy before and improved someone mentioned their feedback being 93% now it's up at 98.7

I think i'm gonna go with it. Paypal protection reassures me somewhat. They were great to deal with when i had a problem once before, so there's a bit of assurance there. Anywho, i'll report back how i get on next week...

I regularly buy from them and didn't got any issues... I found cs good. I didn't like some screen protector for sensation and they refund money and didn't ask to send it back.

They're total scammers. They sell tons of cheap crap, that always arrives, but the expensive stuff never does. This keeps their feedback percentage high, but since it's not weighted for value, it's meaningless.
I tried to buy a Nexus One off them about 2 years ago, and only afterwards came across all the horror stories. I immediately queried them for shipping details, which they could not provide, so I lodged a dispute with Paypal, which was resolved in 24 hours. Lucky escape.

Manual man... don't do it. Whatever the perceived saving in cash will be far outweighed in hassle.

I bought a replacement screen off them and didn't have a great experience. They sent me the wrong screwdriver (it was screen and tools). They wouldn't send me the correct one till I sent the wrong one back. It was one of those really cheap screwdrivers that cost about 15 cent. I told them price of sending it back was worth more than the screwdriver, and it was their mistake. They kept insisting I send it back before they send me the right one. So I left them a bad review, and bought an entire set of all those tiny screwdrivers for €2 off someone else.
They kept pestering me about changing the bad review for about 3 months afterwards.
Not the worst experience in the world. But enough for me not to bother buying off them again.

Have ordered from another crowd, but likewise i imagine it will be a 'grey market' import, as they call them. Seems to be all fairly legit so far, got a tracking number today after ordering Sunday morning, checks out with ups, so fingers crossed it'll arrive later this week, Wednesday or Thursday the crowd said. Hopefully there's no problems.
