Hi everyone, I could't find a thread that matched exactly so I hope this is ok, moderators feel free to move.
We've had sky+ & 1 multi room a few years. Had it installed by local independent contractor but have had load of problems - wires/ cables coming undone etc. had to have them back several times €50 each time. Now sky+ box is not working. Not having same contractor again. Phoned sky who said we could upgrade & get free new box but paying extra each month so No. Or they could send out a service guy €100 once off.
It looks like We could do better by cancelling existing contract & starting a new one.
    Has anyone done this?
    Is it complicated?
Any advice on how to do this -we would be at the same address

you can buy a new or used sky+ box on adverts or just tell sky you want to cancel the service because of the dodgy installers shoddy work and now the sky box being faulty and get yourself a normal receiver which will pick up all the free to air channels.
