As far as I know, no-one bar the spiritualists can do a legal outside wedding on a Saturday. If Tom Colton is busy, have you tried Sandra Losty (087 2469789) or Mary Losty 087 2639032?

No idea if they're related or what they're like. Unfortunately, us non-believers are rather discriminated against in Ireland and it looks like it'll be quite a while before the humanists are allowed to carry out legal weddings. I'm afraid a registry office midweek followed by a
humanist blessing or similar may be the only option for you.

hay sleepy thanks but no luck they work along with tom and are booked up for my date its a nightmare !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If your date is a Saturday, I'm afraid you're going to have to either change or go the registry office during the week / "wedding" at the weekend route or change the date to one when one of the spiritualists are free to solemnise.

The HSE are no doubt prevented from working Saturdays by their union and, even at that, are bound to very restrictive (and rather arbitrary) rules regarding where they can marry you.

It's utterly ridiculous but as mad as it might make you, there's sweet FA we can do about being discriminated against in this country.

Check out the Unitarian Church, Stephen's Green
They can do saturday or sunday ceremonies at any venue and they are legal. No extra registry office dates.
Their ceremonies can be as religion lite as any humanist ceremony if you want it to be.
I know - they did mine last June.
    Delighted with them

Just booked our wedding venue for April 2013. We are considering using Tom Colton but his spiritual background is unfamiliar territory for us. Can somebody recommend a registrar who works free lance but can do the legal end of things. My fiancee worries that Tom Colton might be a bit too far out there it you know what I mean. Any input appreciated.

ive also booked tom colton for next year , my o.h was a bit worried about it , but having read the reviews by people , he seems very flexible on the ceremony! I have gone through his sample wedding book and sounds lovely , not at all too far out there ! Ring him and chat to him and see what you think. he is also extremely effecient at getting back to you on dates etc ! Very nice man ! If you like i can send you a p.m with a copy of the sample booklet he sent me so you have a fair idea what its like !
