    Re: meds in Australia
Yes the official line from dept of health and aging is
To comply with other Australian legislation covering therapeutic products you should ensure that the maximum amount of medicine you bring is equivalent to 3 months' supply at the maximum dose recommended by manufacturer.

    To comply with Customs regulations,
Declare medicines that you are bringing into Australia
Ensure that you have a prescription for prescribed medicine and that it is clearly labelled.

    There are other details here
    http://www.health.gov.au/internet/main/publishing.nsf/Content/general-guidance-for-travellers-bringing-medicines-to-and-from-australia
But the above is the guts of it.

Overseas prescriptions will not be accepted in Australian pharmacies. So before you run out of medicine see a GP in Australia for new script. Most of the OCpills available in Ireland are also in Oz but there are a few exceptions, Dr would discuss alternatives.

Having said all of this I have seen girls from UK bring way more than 3 months as generally they get prescribed 6 months at a time and the pill is free in UK.
Cheapest pill in Oz is about 15$ in Chemist Warehouse right up to 84$ for most expensive in ordinary pharmacy, for 3 month supply.

I know nothing about your hard drive
