There are explosion drawings available on the Vokera home page. For everyone, not only for fee-paying club members.

Is that meant to be a dig at RGIs or something , in case you didnt notice it is illegal and potentially deadly to tamper with such a device without training.

Actually shouldnt a notice of hazard or something be served on the appliance if the casing cant be removed or adequately accessed , only reason i ask is cause i have seen ones handed out before for it.

Shouldnt a hazard notice be served on the O.P. for wanting to tamper with the appliance

Thats for sure, but im just thinking to myself if he gets an RGI out he might get served with this notice as well , im preparing him for the worst.

I suppose that really depends on the lad that arrives , i know i went to some houses before to replace the boilers and the units that were built around the boilers needed to be stripped down to get access to the old boilers , youd wonder how they were ever serviced before , and then you stop wondering when you see the B.G. sticker on the front  . But yes there is a very good chance that a rgi might slap a notice on it and walk away.

judging by your inability to find a basic boiler component, i wouldn't really be trusting your risk assessment skills;)
