Anyone know of any duathlon's in the Dublin area that are more geared towards off roading and mountain biking?

There was an offroad Duathlon race in Bray called Tufftrax back in Dec 10 but no sign of it last year. Ras na Riachta got some great reviews but its all d way down in Kerry.

There's "Spike and Bike" in Glenmalure, Wicklow.

Tuff Trax was a good event. Very tough. Would make a great summer event.

Looks like a great route. Its steep and steep (pricey) but I'd prefer to see money going to a good cause than to a commercial cause.

I never understand how race directors say stuff such as

"this is the perfect event for the most hardened adventure racers and those wanting to challenge themselves."

Its generally one or the other - not both

Is this the first year of this race? anyone planning on doing it?

I'm pretty sure this is the first year its been held. I'd be interested but I'm already doing a fundraising yoke and can't really do 2.

    Is €35 that excessive?

I suppose compared to the sportsman ones @ €15 a race it probably is.

30 euro is fine but 130 euro is too expensive.
    Registration fee:

    €30 individual (€50 for a team)

    Fundraising target:

    €100 per person

Ahhh. I thought the reply was in respect to the Eirman.org post above it.
And yes, being asked to raise €100 on top is way too much.
