brake pad recomendation for tekrto r580 caliper

my commuter bike uses tektro r580 brakes, and the braking performance is fairly poor. Does anyone have a recomendation for a good pad for this caliper or should I just upgrade the calipers full stop. I have sram rival with swisstops pads on another bike and they are a world apart in braking perfomance. thanks

Kool stop salmons are meant to be unreal for v brakes, they have grooves on them to shed water. My buddy looked into them for his old Trek 8000.

There is different colours with different characteristics depending on your needs. Can be got from the UK.
