Looking for Credit card alternative, but better than 02/ 3V

Sorry for my general ignorance, but not many of my friends or relatives do much online purchasing, yet I do.
I've been using the 02 money card now for a couple months, and although handy, I'd much prefer something tied to my bank account or the like so I don't have to keep running off to the shop when I run out of credit.
Can someone point me in the right direction please? I'm but a wee student so I've ruled a full credit card out. Laser cards won't suffice for some sites too. I'd like to be able to use sites like Paypal and such.

    Any help out there?

I have a 3V card but am not too fond of it, especially since they got rid of the 20 quid top up. My Paypal is linked directly to my current bank account, so I can transfer money freely between the two of them.

    Moneybookers prepaid Mastercard.
    10 eur annual fee.
Free uploading of funds via Laser and bank transfer. Have been using the Mastercard several years, works perfectly!

    (aka Skrill nowadays)

VISA debit is the way to go.

It's a regular ATM bank card but you can also use it anywhere that accepts VISA.

I left AIB who did not offer them and opened a Permanent TSB account just for this purpose and am very happy I did.

I think Bank of Ireland also do them, and possible some other banks but you will need to check.

Do not waste your time with any other alternative, trust me on this.
