Should be a good game,Norwich are a reasonable side.
Expect Chelsea to nick it though,Rameries getting the first goal at 9/1 would be sweet........

I think Chelsea will win quite handily, and Torres will actually score.

A lot of us have been saying that for God knows how long now:D

He did play well in his last game against Sunderland, so you would expect him to carry it into this game however we have been here before a few times this season when he has failed to deliver on the back of good/unlucky performances.

I think he will score as well, with a conviction of 4/1 that the 1st goal will be his!

Its time for Torres to start delivering, he's been putting in a few solid performances of late but goals is what we want, now is the time to cement his place in the team with Drogba away for a few weeks, going 3-0 Chelsea

He's played well in every game this year so far, to be fair. Hopefully he can find some much needed luck today.

Norwich are all over Chelsea when they get moving forward.

    Decent effort

thats the sort of ball Torres is looking for!

Earlier, Luis didnt mark the No9 at the far post when the cross came in, he just hung about in the middle!

I don't think Chelsea will keep a clean sheet here.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,148 ✭✭✭✭Raskolnikov

Torres has been showing the first touch of Paul McShane so far. Norwich look likely enough, can't help but think that if they push forward, they will find joy against Bosingwa and Luiz! I think the lack of Romeu in this team is criminal by the way.

Did you hear the Norwich fans there? Roaring "W@nker, w@nker, w@nker" when Terry was chasing a ball down there.

Is Hoolahan fit ? cause there is a massive hole in front of Ramires that I think he could exploit .

Chelsea's final ball has been terrible.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,148 ✭✭✭✭Raskolnikov

Sturridge has been muck so far, Torres looks threatening in bits and pieces, the lack of Romeu means Norwich are finding loads of space between the Chelsea defence and midfield. I would expect Hoolahan to get 30 minutes, maybe he could make the difference in creating something for Norwich.

Our passing is muck and slow

Have to say young Daniel Ayala has impressed me. Don't know why Liverpool got rid of him, surely as good an option as Carragher.

Ah Liverpool are always a bit dumb like that. Ayala, Hamill and Guthrie are 3 that would certainly of been useful in a squad capacity, that we got rid of for no real reason.

everything but the finish there from Mata

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,148 ✭✭✭✭Raskolnikov

Malouda didn't look like he gave a sh!t if he connected with that Torres cross.

    Chelseas best player this season?

So then tomorrows headline - "AVB under pressure as Lampard subbed in first half" or some such.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,808 ✭✭✭Caveman1

It looks like Sturridge is afraid to go in for a tackle there's been a few balls he could of went for and just stood still, Torres is the only one really looking like he's up for it, he's making some nice runs and he's tracking back, please God let him score :pac:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,588 ✭✭✭daithijjj

Mad stat that from that first half. Fouls - 0.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,148 ✭✭✭✭Raskolnikov

Torres has been poor according to Redknapp, nothing said about Sturridge though, who has been much worse.

He has been solid for us since he joined up. A bit of a liability with getting yellow cards but we can live with that.

Considering the service Torres has got, I thought he done alright. Unlucky not to score with that outside of the boot effort and linked the play up reasonably well when he's got the ball. He had one opportunity early on to maneuver a chance for himself after Mata's through ball but he let himself down with his first touch.

Agreed that Sturridge has been poor so far.

Easily I'd say. Even more impressive as it its his first.
Most assists for a chelsea player. Just need 8 or 9 more like him!

The final ball from Chelsea has been horrible and no player is exempt from that criticism.

Disgrace how Ref didnt give a handball for that.

Cos he panicked last season, made the wrong decision and is now paying for it.
I'd still prefer it if he was at Liverpool as I'm certain this wouldn't be happening to him (also mean Carroll would be at Newcastle).

SIGH - Torres - what a dreadful, criminal waste of money.
I doubt Hazard, Neymar or even Messi could get him scoring

But look what happens when we DO move the ball quickly - Mata's near post shot saved - much much better
