Problem with games.

Turned on my ps3 to play a few rounds of Battlefield, to find that it actually wont start the game. When I click on the icon the screen fades to black and doesent change. Tryed this with most of my games and they didnt start ethier, yet Shadow Of Colossus and Ico disc would start? Can anybody tell me what's wrong with it?

What exactly happens when it goes to black/ Can you hear the disc? Does it just stay black?
