Do you know if it is a requirement that you have to have a separate standard scratch for each day of a two day Compeition?

Do the GUI have a rule on it?

I know in our club that there's always a seperate standard scratch for 2 day competitions such as the presidents, captains prize and the 36 hole club championship.

Only a requirement if it is an open competition. If it is a club comp it is an option to have seperate css but not requirement.

As far as Handicapping is concerned CONGU rule 20-3 applies

20.3 In the event of one round of a Qualifying Competition extending over more than one day, the Competition Scratch Score shall be calculated for each day

So if its a h'cap qualifier you need 2 CSS calculated.

Sat could be sunny no wind...sunday could have a hurricane.

Unless there has been a change recently.

    Seems its rule 18.2 now

Have a look here for your h'caping questions.

Just to update this, I made the committe aware of this rule in writing and they are now having two separate CSS, one for each day.

I advised them the best way to achieve it was setup two separate competitions in Club 2000 and then manually work out the top 5 and that is what they did.
