I have my savings here in BoI and the local Credit Union.

With the prospect of the €uro failing should I take say half my savings and head to the North and open a bank savings account there, in sterling????

How difficult is it to open a bank account in the North?
What would I need to bring with me, apart from the cash, for identification?

NO , the euro has had a horrible three months , its at 83 pence against sterling , less than five months ago , it was at close to 90 pence , the euro may go lower but its likely to regain some ground in the short term
