White for both. Matches wheels and offsets all-black frame.

Our leader is right: white and white.

Put a pair of surgical gloves into the jersey pocket for puncture repair.

White & White and lose the saddle bag esp when there's a photo op ;)

Fizik Microtex. Glossy finish that's easy to wipe off.

I couldn't go for white bar tape. If I thought I could get away with an all black bike I'd go for it but the white saddle does look good!

White is hard to keep, but at least the canyon in the pic has white frame details which help alot i think! Time to get out the paint brush! :D

I thought white was always the answer anyway.

I know what you mean with the white decals on the frame.

Hers's LA's bike from 2004. He used 'stealthy' Project One colours in the last couple of years of his Tour wins. Black tape and saddle! Maybe that silvery flame effect could work on yours?

Ah what do you know, I mean how can you argue against this!!!

    59. The Euro Cyclist shall own a sizeable parrot and will ensure that he is seen walking around photo shoots with it perched either upon his casually outstretched index finger or upon his shoulder. Hair should be slicked back for maximal effect. The parrot should either be white or it should contain three (3) or more colors found within the World cup stripes. One must always smile when pictured with the parrot. The parrot should speak fluent Italian. In certain cases it is deemed advisable that the Euro Cyclist possess, in place of a parrot, SEVERAL young pumas.

    I'm sorry

    53. In order to avoid the harsh European winter, one shall:
    i. Flee to the warmer climates of Mallorca/South Africa/Canary Islands/etc.
ii. “Train the mind, body and soul” with Kreitler-brand rollers

Man up and put a few layers on.

I have LOOK bar tape and it does stay well clean, down side is that it's not the most comfortable.

You spend time wearing tight fitting lycra, do you think that is perceived by people in general as being the most heterosexual of things to do?

I'm sure they've been post before, but more "rules" here... :)

    http://www.velominati.com/blog/the-rules/

    Rule #8
Saddles, bars, and tires shall be carefully matched.

    Valid options are:
    • Match the saddle to the bars and the tires to black; or
    • Match the bars to the color of the frame at the top of the head tube and the saddle to the color of the frame at the top of the seat tube and the tires to the color where they come closest to the frame; or
    • Match the saddle and the bars to the frame decals; or
    • Black, black, black

Looks good, but is that one of Fizik's tester saddles?! In seriousness, what year frame is that Allez? Much nices than the recent ones I've seen.

OP, I have a black unbranded frame I train and commute on, and during the summer I had white tape and white saddle. It looked good. Now it has black tape and a black saddle. It still looks good. The key is to match the two. Red with red, orange with orange, baby blue with baby blue, it's all fine as long as it's consistent!

'Tis nice indeed. Definitely nicer than my 2010 model, which is a sober and respectable black but has a bowed top tube that I'm not mad about.
