Hi I'm running Windows Vista Home Premium with Internet Exp 8 as my browser. I have Norton 360 which is set to scan and update automatically.
Up to yesterday, I had no problems but amazon site will now not load. I've also tried to get into it from links on other sites also, but no joy.
Any ideas on what is happening?
    Thanks in anticipation

Try run internet explorer in safe mode

going to the START menu and clicking RUN. Type “iexplore -extoff” and then click OK.

Can you get to amazon website then ?

If not, try disable some security programs, they can interfere a lot.

Short term solution would be to use another browser till you find the cause.

An unlikely reason, could be that amazon was down due to the SOPA thing yesterday...

    Hi Thanks for that, ASJ112.
I copied and pasted your suggested texted in the run text box but got the message that iexplore couldn't be found.

Make sure you aren't including the " "

You can do it this way too

Open Internet explorer, click the Safety button around the top right, click InPrivate Browsing. Does amazon work properly now ?

If not, close and re-open Internet explorer, click Safety, and click Delete Browsing history. Restart internet explorer, any luck ?

Have you tried disabling security programs too ?
