Oracle in Ireland

    Hi all,

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, wanted to put it in the Biz forum but none looked relevant. I'm just wondering exactly what Oracle do here in Ireland? By that I mean what services they provide and the roles of those within the organisation. Do they have development teams here? Provide database/server support? All I can find is that they have a call centre in Dublin! I can't find anything on the net it's like they're trying to keep it secret :D

    Any input very much appreciated.

i think they might have more than a call centre in ireland, they have 2 or 3 buildings in eastpoint business park ,in clontarf.

Best thing would be to ring/drop in to reception and get the number of the person in charge of HR.

They have an office in Galway as well but not sure exactly what they do there.

My m8 works in Oracle Clontarf and I think he does Solaris testing, so yes they do have a lot more than just a call centre operating.

They took over Sun Microsystems a couple of years ago.

I've had dealings with them from a sales and consulting experience. They sell all of oracles products into the public and private sector including all their ERP and CRM related products. They have consultants and systems integrators as well as a pretty big call centre.

Its pretty active, they wouldn't do any product development but would act in a more sales orientated role in ireland. They also offer training etc.
