    Hi guys,
I'm am going to have to get insurance for my self build to cover people within the site area. Any ideas of what I should be looking for. I think it is some sort of public liability insurance but I don't have a clue to be honest about it. Any help welcome.

I got self build insurance from Frost Insurances. They were recommended on here. Policy lasts 24 months.

There's a lot of info on this thread. http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055703467
We got ours with FBD. One thing to be aware of is to get it early on - if the house has progressed too far, the insurers won't want to quote for the remainder.

From what I have read and heard and found out it is between €1300-€2500, All diffirent covers for diffirent periods of time from 12-24 months. Frost seem to be competetive in this sector. ;)

Agree with all of the above. Frost insurances will quote. Think you can only get a minimum of 12 month policy and they're the only crowd that will quote for mid build so regardless of how long you have left on your build you will be paying a lot for it. Ensure you get cover for accidental damage to build, public liability, employer's liability, fire and theft.
