What trouble are you having? It's probably not specific to this receiver (I don't have one).

I scan for channels but it does not pick up anything. You can see what I had before on the thread i made in the Satellite forum

well its likely you are doing something wrong. Like you either don't have signal or are scanning the wrong satellite

The tv picked up RTE1 and RTE2 before I put in the Receiver. Iv pluged the aerial cable into the receiver instead of the TV.

If you only have RTE1 & 2 analogue & no TG4 or TV3, then you're probably only picking up VHF transmissions from Mullaghanish or Maghera (if you're in Limerick).

Saorview is broadcast in the UHF band & you need a UHF aerial.

Im living in Dromcollogher so I think its the Mullaghanish transmitter

Do you have an outdoor or attic aerial? If possible, post a photo; it's the quickest way to clear things up.

Here's a pic showing a UHF aerial on top of the mast with a VHF aerial mounted below. There are other types of both available, such as UHF grid types.

That UHF aerial is pointed to the ground. What kind of signal is it receiving?

Apologies. I am sober. Just looked that way at first glance.
