    Hi,

I graduated in 2009 with an average 2.2 degree. Law is not for me. Ive been doing a diploma in Accounting and Finance this year, I expect to get full marks in all subjects. I plan to start the chartered accountant exams in september. I know it will be hard but will I have any chance of getting a training contract or is there anything i can do to help get one?

    Thanks for any help....

Milkround for the biggest accounting firms finished in October but some of them re-open for applications in summer. You are best of ringing the big 4/big 10's HR and asking them when they might be re-opening applications.

A 2.2 won't stand in your favour but high marks in the diploma will.

Relevant work experience is also considered. It's not the hardest thing in the world to get a position with them but they do have standards.

why would a degree stand in your way? surely an honours degree in another field is better than no degree at all?
