Picking up UK DTT channel in Wexford [Split from Saorview Guide]

    I am in Wexford and have channels dropping in and out. ITV's ESPN and others. Why is this happening?

    That's nothing to do with Saorview, probably nothing to do with terrestrial tv either. You should start your own thread in the appropriate place.

    I just put in a TV with a digital tuner to pick up Saorview channels. It's connected to my roof ariel only. I'm picking up these others too. I'ts related to the Saorview topic. Thanks for your input.

    Split threads.

    Its actually not Saorview, it sounds like you are picking up UK DTT (Freeview and, in the case of ESPN, TopUp TV) channels. It might be that you are only just picking these up, perhaps on clear days?

    Those problem channels are broadcast from UK transmitters; do you actually have ESPN? I thought it was subscription-only via Topup tv.

    The others are UK 'Freeview' channels, nothing to do with Saorview.

    ESPN is a subscription channel.
    The weather is causing a few problems in the last few days. With UK FreeView services you can get extra transmitters or loose them due to weather fluctuations. I'm currently getting bursts of French DTT on CH34 & 39

    RTE1, RTE2 TV3, TG4, RTE News, 3e, RTE Jnr, BBC 1 Wales, ITV3, BBC2 Wales, More 4, QVC, GOLD, bid TV, Home, ITV2, E4, 5*, 5 USA, ITV1 +1, ESPN (Scrambled), Quest, The zone, Channel 5+1, The jewlery channel, CBBC, Cbeebies, CITV, BBC News, BBC Parliament, Television X, BBC Red button, ADULT Playboy. BBC4, ITV1 Wales, S4C, Channel 5, BBC 3, Channel 4,

    Only RTE1, RTE2 TV3, TG4, RTE News, 3e & RTE Jnr are actually SaorView, all the rest are Freeview and unless you have a large aerial pointing a UK transmitter your reception of them will be patchy at best.

    Great selection of free channels for UK viewers - and they're not all listed above. Hopefully the number on Saorview will increase from what's currently available.
