Hi fellas, searched the forum but could not find an answer to my query. I bought a philips 32" 3000 series television today.
Hooked up the xbox to it fine, works perfect. However I tried to install channels and it can find none. I selected Ireland as my locale and "antenna DVB-T" as the other setting. When it searches though, it says digital channels found: 0.

Can anyone shed any light on this? I checked the saorview site and I'm well inside saorview coverage. any help appreciated :)

No antenna, just the tv aerial plug thingy () thats comes from the wall, I'm with UPC for terrestrial television and we dont have an antenna on the roof.

Somehow I suspect the lack of antenna is my failing? :p

haha yeah i would imagine that would be the problem! to get saorview your gona need an aerial and a splitter so you can use saorview and upc together without having to switch the connections in the back everytime!

Silly me, I thought the television had some sort of receiver built in that picks up the saorview signal :o That solves my problem anyway, thanks very much ;)

On another note does anyone find fifa looks a bit meh? Battlefield looks super on the tele but fifa is a bit blocky and dark on the pitch

im on ps3 and fifa did look abit dark, not blocky though, you got the hdmi cable plugged in? i had to change the settings, but for some reason, the 3000 series is 1080p but i had to select 1080i on the ps3 for hd to work properly.

just play around with the picture quality on the tv with fifa running till you get what you want . . .
