You MUST visit Kenmare. And get a reservation for Packies restaurant, it is one of the nicest restaurants I've ever been to! There are less than a handful of restaurants that I've been to where I'd travel back to that place again just to eat at the restaurant and Packies is one of them.

Round the lakes of Killarney is fantastic scenery, has to be on the list.

When you are passing through Cahirciveen maybe take a detour and head out to Valentia island (ferry from near Cahirciveen or bridge at Portmagee), the view from the top of Geokaun is amazing on a good day.

Great views again from the top of Coomakiste (Enda won't be there, and sometimes it's very foggy there) down to caherdaniel.

Head down to Derrynane beach for a walk and look around the ancestral home of the Liberator

Maybe Staigue fort if you have an interest in ancient Irish ruins?

If you're hungry for lunch around that area, there is a nice cafe in Castlecove, or you'd get a lunch in Sneem in D O'Sheas or Breens riverside cafe.

If you're not hungry there, you may as well wait til Kenmare - loads of options. Packies is fantastic for dinner as previously mentioned.

At Sneem the route that the ring of kerry tour buses take goes direct from Sneem to Killarney. If you are heading to Killarney I would go to Kenmare first. You won't miss any scenery really between Sneem and Molls Gap - the Kenmare to Killarney road meets the Sneem-Killarney road at Molls Gap and all the best scenery is between there and Killarney.

If you have already started out in Killarney and seen the lakes and things, then you have a few options to head onto Cork from Kenmare.
-Macroom and then onto Cork (shortest, quickest)
-Kenmare to Bantry and on via west cork (Detour for gougane barra maybe?)
-if the weather is good and you have the time, the longest option is to the Ring of Beara and then carry on via west Cork.

While staying in Killorglin you could eat at Nicks, probably the best restaurant in the town. Caragh Lake and Glenbeigh beach are nice scenic areas close to the town.

Killarney could be an entire thread on it's own - you've got some pointers already, but it really is a beautiful place with absolutely no shortage of things to do and see.

Another option for you from your base in Killorglin would be to travel the Dingle penninsula. If you travel the relatively short distance from Killorglin to Castlemaine, you can then start to travel out along the southern side of the mountains back towards Inch, which is a stunning beach. From there, you can go back on into Dingle which has a huge amount to offer as well and is probably well covered elsewhere. You can travel back in to Tralee on the other side of the mountain range - you could take in the Conor Pass & Castlegregory that way.

Lots to do! Hope you enjoy your trip to the Kingdom!

If you are steady on the legs and if the weather is reasonable you absolutely have to try to get out to skellig michael, boats leave from portmagee and you will have to contact the tourist office in advance to get the numbers of the boatmen who may or may not be going that week - if you can get going though you'll find it is the most amazing site in ireland, i couldn't recommend it enough. It will take up most of a day of your holidays but oh so worth it

To be honest Waterford would be a bit of a stretch from Kilorglin, 3hrs if not more.
As well as the Ring Of Kerry you could also head for the Dingle peninsula another day, lots to see around there.
You could spend a whole day in Killarney town and around the national park if the weather is good.

Any of the places mentioned above, Brandon Point on the Tralee side of the Conor Pass is an amazing spot also
Nicks Restaurant in Killorglin or Jacks Restaurant in Cromane which is about 10/20 mins outside Killorglin. Jacks has lovely seafood, expensive enough but worth it I think.
