    Hi,

I have an excel with a list of entries and i want to get a list of totals. The list is something like this

    P00001 - 52
    P00001 - 12
    P00002 - 100
    P00003 - 43
    P00003 - 56
    P00004 - 16

and so on. I need to be able to add all the duplicates and come back with a list like this e.g.

    P00001 - 64
    P00002 - 100
    P00003 - 99
    P00004 - 16

Any ideas would be very very welcome.

You could use a pivot table. It would appear in a second sheet though and not use formulas.
