Finishing With Illness Benefit Question

Just a quick query here, I haven't seen this one answered in some of the other threads I searched.

Basically, I was told by my doctor I will be finishing up with my benefit at the beginning of next month. The Docter gave me a cert to cover me for January as a precaution and gave me a final cert to hand in next month. This is all fine, I feel ready to return to work. I received a letter though in the meantime asking to come in for a medical, as I'm finishing up, I wrote back to inform them as such, but they have replied to say I must attend anyway, otherwise I may miss one of my final payments.

It sounds to me like they're going to stop the final payments anyway, my question is should I bother going for the medical?

Go to the medical and inform the doc that you will be returning to work on such and such date. They are unlikely to do anything as you will be coming off benefits.
