Saorview reception

Hi, I recently got a new saorview tv and it works fine but the signal strength seems very low at about 18-22, signal quality is around 88-100. I want to split the signal in two to another tv in my kitchen, tried using a passive splitter but no joy. Should I use a masthead amplifier and then split the signal in the attic or would I have to use a distribution amp?

    Thanks
    Joe

You can use either type of amplifier; if there's no power outlet in your attic, the masthead type with remote PSU would be preferable. These are also more likely to give a better quality signal.

These are available in multi-outlet versions or you could use a single output one (of sufficient gain) along with your splitter.
